2 Years on from buying my Can Am Spyder RT-S and I seem to be fulfilling a desperate
need for their to be a UK independent Spyder Ryders website. I just missed out on
the first Spyder event held in Linz Austria on may 14th 2010 but spent every possible
moment enjoying my ride up until the 2011 Spyder celebration in Erba Italy when I
discovered a new found love of the open road and also met some great new friends
(two of which are pictured below: Steve and Nicki in Italy). I found a few websites
that had forums including the SPYDERRYDERUK site that promised to fulfil my need
for endless information and goodies ! Sadly this was not going to be the case. A
lack of support from the manufacturer and ryders has meant the site is now closed.
I hope this does not happen to the UKSPYDERWEB and intend to promote it as much as
I can. I have been getting out and about and meeting you guys and have already met
many riders !! This site should be used as a form of communication between like minded
Spyder owners and enthusiasts and over time a source of knowledge. I will be organising
various rides throughout the year and posting any info about European rides on the
site. Last year a few of us attended the Americana International show at Newark and
this would be a great home for the yearly UKSPYDERWEB gathering. 2013 dates are 11th-14th
July. Email or text if you are interested in attending and I can gauge the size of
the club site we will need to book, I take a motorhome with me and stay for the whole
show, tents and caravans are also welcome. Spyders can be exhibited in the show hall
and we are actively encouraged to do so as they love em ! I am trying to arrange
a marque for the club with the usual bbq etc, suggestions are most welcome. If you
arrange a ride out please take pics and send them to me as I am fed up looking at,
and hearing about, the large French and German rides involving 120+ Spyders. We have
nearly 280 Ryders in the UK !! Lets get it organised people. Ok I will email the
Ryders I have listed already and see if we can kick start this website. I will see
you all on the road.
